Christmas in Oklahoma

Our first Christmas with Warren was wonderful. Before we left for Oklahoma, we had our own family Christmas. We only bought Warren two presents: a Cars sound book and a pop up toy. We knew he would get lots of toys from family, and we didn't want him to have too many to play with.

Cleo had to get in on the action, and it's a good thing, too, because Warren only wanted to tear up the paper instead of unwrapping the gift! After we all opened our gifts, we ate some Oreos (one of Roy's stocking gifts), and Warren thought it was delicious. He had chocolate all over his face!

We left on Sunday and headed up to Tulsa to visit Roy's grandma and aunt and her family. I have a cute pic of Warren with his Great-grandma Brown, but for fear of her torturing me for posting a picture of her in her bathrobe, I decided to post this one: Warren with his second cousin Halley. He loved all of his second cousins, Amber, Ashley, Halley, Hope, and Zach, and he loved the attention he got from them all. I think he thought his Aunt Janice was pretty cool, too, especially after she gave him his first pretzel!

Warren hadn't seen his Aunt Kim since June! His cousin Sarah never left his side. I think she thought Warren was HER baby doll. He loved the attention.
Warren and his Aunt Cristy ... see a resemblance?
Warren was mesmerized by his Uncle Adam. They look a lot alike, and so far, Warren gets his height from his uncle ... those dominant Garton genes.

Warren was bare-foot Santa Claus for Christmas! OMG, he is so adorable I could just kiss on him forever!

Warren got a very special gift from his Papa ... a hand-made wagon! My dad actually designed and made this wagon just for Warren. There is a large wooden ball at the end of the rope, and of course Warren thought that was the best part. He loves to play with his "Granpa Built" wagon. I chose this pic in particular because Warren is concentrating so hard he is sticking out his tongue... his daddy does that, too!
For some reason, Warren developed a giant zit on his chin during the last couple days of our trip. We thought about naming it, but decided it might scar him for life... so instead I blog about it! LOL Still, zit and all, he is an adorable little man, and Roy and I don't know what we would do without him in our lives. We are crazy about him!
On our way back to Texas, we stopped at a McDonalds to eat. I had to take a picture because it was the first time Warren had eaten a McDonald's french fry!

During Christmas break, Warren learned how to "gimme five." The sweet thing is he grins every time he slaps our hand! I hope to get video of it soon...until then, I am back to work tomorrow, Warren is back to daycare, and Roy begins work on his prelims. Life.

Great pictures! The wagon such a great idea, and papa for making it for him. Glad you guys had a good time. We didn't make it to Ponca this year because of the snow.

I can't believe how big he is getting! He is so so precious! His eyes are to die for! I could squeeze him! Christmas is so much more fun with a little one...even if they have no idea what is going on!!!
